From Cape Point to the Cable Way The Hoerikwaggo Trail stretches across 100km of Cape Town above the urban sprawl and into the deep into cape fynbos. Whichever direction you decide to hike this route the tented camps are a welcome respite and each have a unique layout and built purposely to gently blend in with the natural theme of their surroundings.

The Orange Kloof camp of Hout Bay is tucked into the surrounding ancient Afromontane forest. Raised boardwalk paths link the tented camps to the shower / bathroom facilities, to the kitchen equipped with a fridge and gas cooker and to the quintessential outdoor boma (communal fire pit) the tents are not tents! They are fixed (2 bed or 4 bed) structures and this makes stretching out and relaxing under the stars to the call of the owls a unique happiness. A short walk from the campsite is a swimming dam surrounded by trees the perfect resting spot for the twitchy resident Honey Buzzard.
The Silvermine Camp is in the Silvermine nature reserve; this camp has interconnecting boardwalks and electricity. A large communal braai area, a climbing wall on the outer perimeter and a sprawling dam makes this spot ideal playful family relaxation before fire is ready… and long after.
From the forests to a mountain reserve and now to the sea; The Slangkop tented camps have direct access to the beach, at night the tents can be opened to observe the old Slangkop lighthouse, and the campsite lights are made from whale bone keeping to the shoreline theme.
