AWOL Fundraiser For SPCA Hike-A-Thon

Sally Petersen founder and director of AWOL Tours, together with Binny Ridgway from Ridgeway Ramblers are busy training for the next fundraising Hike-A-Thon expedition. This time they are inviting you to join them on part of the 70km hike from Cape Point to Cape Town as well as raise funds for the much needed SPCA Animal hospital.

The Hike-A-Thon will be held on the  10 & 11 SEPT 2022  from Cape Point all the way along the ridge of the Cape Peninsula to the top of Table Mountain and down Platteklip Gorge to not only raise funds for the Cape of Good Hope SPCA but to give supporters the experience of hiking the beautiful, invigorating trails away from the bustle of city life, with like-minded people while doing good. AWOL Tours team will take care of all the logistics.

The SPCA’s hospital treats more than 107 clinical cases per day which translates to 13/14 animals treated every hour and one vet performs 15-20 surgeries per day!
This, together with increasing costs, places an increased responsibility on our resources. Therefore join the hike and use your heels to heal animals!

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA has but one mission: To ensure that no animal endures cruelty, by putting all our efforts, passion and funds into making sure that ALL animals are safe, loved and cared for. We would love it if you would join our SPCA-family by participating in our hike-a-thon! Read more and donate if you are not able to join us for part of the hike.

If you are keen to participate, kindly complete the online registration. Then select the day, route and session you would like to hike and pay R200 deposit (remember spots are limited to 10 hikers per route). The balance of R1300 is payable before the event. Once we receive your registration we will email you your fundraising tools. If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at awareness@spca-ct.co.za or WhatsApp 074 5806022

If you cannot join the 70km  Hike-A-Thon  you or part thereof from Cape Point to Cape Town you can still support the cause by donating on the GivenGain page. Last year over R50000.00 was raised! This year we need your help to improve on this target
