As the temperatures are kept moderate by the cooler air blowing in from the Atlantic, a hike up Table Mountain can still enjoyed with the cooler ‘breeze’. AWOL Tours prefers to take guests up Skeleton Gorge which is nicely protected as you hike up through the Afro-Montane forests in the sheltered gorges.  A hike up Lion’s Head would also be spectacular to watch the famous table cloth being pulled over Table Mountain.

On our Cape Peninsula cycle tours we have 2 suggested cycling routes and we always plan it that you can always enjoy the tailwinds. With the wind on your back you can comfortably cruise past Scarborough and Misty Cliffs into Kommetjie with spectacular views of Chapman’s Peak.

Kite surfers are out in full force on Muizenberg and Blouberg beach, so a walk on wet sand to watch them twist and leap the waves. If you prefer to work on your suntan, head for Clifton beach as it’s nicely protected by Lion’s Head.

The Southeaster seldom brings rain so be grateful for the sunshine days and remember the Cape Doctor winds keep Cape Town clean and blow all the pollution away!
